Following on from the launch of my Zamzam Boutique at www.riadzamzam.com here are some photos of the current Berber Wedding blanket stock.
This one is very unusual with the pretty pink and blue. Its very rare to find a one of pink and blue Berber wedding Blanket and it is also pretty large for a vintage piece.
Heavily laden rows of shiny sequins in between cotton fringes. The rest of the vintage Handira is made of cotton and wool.
This is a very different Handira where the fringes are in ever increasing diamonds, another large vintage piece showing stunning Berber textile design.
Gorgeous chunky fringes on this superb vintage Berber wedding blanket. The bride must have looked amazing at her Moroccan mountain wedding.

Sometimes I stumble upon beautiful handmade vintage Handiras which are partly damaged or have unremovable stains. From the sound parts of these blankets I make these lovely pillow cases. Each pillow case is a unique piece. Frequent available sizes are 40 x 40 cm, 50 x 50 cm and 60 x 60 cm. Different sizes can be made on request. For easy use they each have a zip.
