The Royal Air Morocco , winner of the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences
The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences ( AAHS ) , presented Monday in Casablanca, the prestigious award " International Five Star Diamond Award" at the national carrier Royal Air Morocco (RAM) for the quality of its services.
The award, presented to the CEO of the RAM , Driss Benhima by the President of the AAHS , Joseph Cinque , recognizes achievements by the Moroccan group in the field of hospitality including its long flights correspondence between Morocco and North America.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Benhima stressed that this award won for the first time by an African company, is devoting major projects recently initiated by the RAM to improve the quality of its services , which it today earned the distinction of the best African airline with regard to the quality of services.
Indeed, an extensive training program on customer relationship extending over a period of one year was provided to 2,700 group employees in contact with customers.
Similarly, the company has undertaken a wide site for the renewal of aircraft seats which is a complete overhaul of cabins 29 aircraft including 25 Boeing Next-Generation 737 , three Boeing 767 and Boeing 747 in order to make the seats more comfortable and diversify in-flight entertainment to make the flight more enjoyable, has he added.
In addition, the aircraft operating long-haul flights , including B767 , are now equipped with individual screens that offer various programs including documentaries, series , video games , a varied repertoire of music , in addition to programs for children.
" While I am sure and confident of the quality of services provided to our customers, it is reassuring that our efforts in the travel and transportation industry are recognized by our customers as well as international organizations such as the renowned ' AAHS . This is a real joy and pride for us, " further noted Mr. Benhima .
For his part, Mr. Cinque said the RAM that has proved its difference with respect to the hospitality and quality services , now ranks among the major international airlines .
By handing the trophy to Mr. Benhima today is the entire staff of the RAM is recognized and thanked for having opted for excellence, has he continued .
For his part, the Director General of the International AAHS , Mr. Luka Siminiati , said that the ongoing efforts by the RAM to improve its services and raise the level of its services to high quality , meeting the highest international standards deserve to be honored with this award .
Founded in 1949 , the AAHS began its activity as a rating agency before developing and expanding its scope of action to become the only international organization that rewards service luxury travel .
Selected from an exclusive network of experienced professionals in the areas of luxury , travel , hospitality and catering , members of the AAHS attribute the International Five Star Diamond Award to recognize excellence of services globally .
Lufthansa, Delta Airlines, Mercedes Benz include, among others , among the organizations that have received this trophy.
